EDITORIAL POLICY

 

The Analele Universității de Vest din Timișoara. Seria Științe Filologice (AUT)/ The Annals of the West University of Timișoara. Humanities Series is recognized as one of the major journals of the West University. It features research studies, articles, notes and reviews on currently debated themes in Romanian, classical, French, Italian, Spanish, Anglo-American, German, etc. culture and philology, approached from synchronic and diachronic perspectives. It publishes one issue per year. Its main domains are language studies, literary studies, cultural studies, didactics, translation studies, Romanian language and literature studies, as well as studies on the diversity of classical and modern languages and cultures.

Annual Calendar:

– 15 February – 15 October: submission of manuscripts for the current issue; each manuscript will undergo a double blind peer-review process, in the chronological order of submission.
– 15 December: publication of the current issue
– The manuscripts submitted after 15 October will be considered for the next issue.

The Annals of the West University of Timișoara. Humanities Series publishes only original contributions, which have not been previously published.

Authors are solely responsible for the ideas presented in the manuscripts accepted for publication. The manuscripts must adhere strictly to current ethical academic norms. Each contribution will be checked for originality. Plagiarism and offensive language and images are not tolerated and will automatically trigger the rejection of the manuscript. Similarly, the submitted manuscripts must follow the journal’s formatting guidelines, which can also be found on the journal’s site. The contributions may be written in Romanian, English, French, Spanish, Italian and German. They will go through an initial screening by the editorial team, and, if they meet the journal’s expected standards, they will be submitted to a double blind peer-review process. The revisions requested by the reviewers will be made by the authors, the editors taking on only the task to correct possible writing, grammar and formatting errors.

 

Copyright policy

All published materials or parts thereof are protected under copyright and intellectual property laws from reproduction, copying, and partial or integral inclusion in other publications. The copyright is held by the authors, who, in the event of republishing their work, are under the obligation to cite the original publication in this journal. If the manuscripts submitted for publication contain copyrighted materials, the authors are responsible for obtaining permission to use any such content. A written consent from the copyright holder should be sent to the editors.
